‘Aan ’t Groothoofd’ is about the artwork of the same name that Robert Zandvliet made for the Dordrechts Museum. His fifty meter long mural is like a water reflection in which you can see the different stages of time passing by. When walking alongside the wall one sees the sun rise, and set again a little further on. It is this transition of time that formed the basis for the overall design of the book ‘Aan ’t Groothoofd’. In contrast to the mural, the publication is a compactly bound booklet in which the reader experiences the passage of time through a subtle transition from light to dark.
Studio Renate Boere is a design studio that explores the latest graphic design practices. We like to work with students, artists, companies, agencies and governments on innovative products.
We develop and invent, apart from classical graphic design activities, interactive installations, hybrid publishing and self-initiated innovative products. Research into new channels to create visibility for these innovative products is an important part of our work.
