Entry Description

We either work with nature or work against it. Our urbanised cities have a rich history of allowing architectural projects to engulf the existing wilderness. This project envisions a more conscientious approach to build around the nature, where trees are incorporated as a part of the design.
Situated at the Shing Mun Reservoir in Hong Kong, trees are kept as an integral part of the overall design plan. Leveraging the existing spatial qualities created by the trees, the architecture melded into the woodland to create spatial conditions that happen underneath, in between, and above the canopies.
