Forced displacement is one of the most tragic human catastrophes in the world. This project seeks an architectural solution for the hardest-hit refugee women and their dependents to find stable ground in an alien nation. It rejects the "temporary shelter" alternatives and welcomes permanency. The core idea is quality sustenance for this community in the host country by making them socio-economically desirable.
By empowering them, the stigmas of being a refugee can be tackled. Empowerment looks like healing, education, and self-sufficiency which is translated into design.
