Susan Strauss Design bought to life a Brooklyn family's dream of a minimalist getaway. The retreat is a contemporary wonder juxtaposed near the rustic foliage of upstate New York. The standout feature was to be impressive, inspiring, yet uncomplicated. Susan designed a vivid backdrop to the floating staircase in dripping shades of blue, finished in textured epoxy resin, which bounces off all the natural light streaming in from the countless windows. The extra-large format floor tile, modern kitchen, and crisp-yet-cool furnishings all add up to the ultimate mod summer home.
