Nihilism For Beginners

This infographic/explainer was intended to be a brief, light-hearted description of the basic principles of Nihilism. It was initially conceived as a "whodunnit" regarding Nietzsche's famous quote, "God is dead," and for that reason I sought out visuals from that genre. I located, "grunge-ified," re-purposed and photocopied/scanned various bits of materials, then treated them in Photoshop to convey the look of a badly treated book cover. The animation is meant to suggest bits of paper being pushed around the page and photographed -- something handmade, recalling Punk visual ethos.
