Changchun Eco Plaza is a mixed-use development comprises of office, apartment, hotel, retail and ancillary facilities. The central amenity space stitches everything together. The geometry recalls natural rock formation in Jilin. The overall building mass straddles the northern edge of the site providing a park. Elevations fissure breaks down the overall mass. ‘Cracks’ containing ramps connect users to their destinations. Permeability at ground level facilitates connectivity. Facades are articulated to exaggerate its 120m maximum allowable height and designed to withstand cold winters.
