Designed for display in the Sabiha Gökcen Metro Station, parts of the key art is also used on metro tickets and tourist info brochures. The mantra “I’m Istanbul” underlines the fact that all the depicted landmarks make up a large part of İstanbul’s identity. The statement is written in the most common languages, with the Turkish text in the center. The drawing illustrates the palimpsest of architectural heritage of İstanbul and displays the contemporary identity of the city against its historical essence. The drawing was created by projecting the horizontal cityscape onto the map of İstanbul.
