Entry Description

The Sandler Neurosciences Center at UCSF Mission Bay sought to transform an existing shelled space within into a new, 160-person auditorium. A curved LED screen wall and an audiovisual system are carefully integrated into the room to facilitate active virtual discussions and engagement. To create a warm and welcoming ambiance, hemlock wood panels are incorporated into the design. Three monolithic, white ceiling "sails" cascade down towards the stage, directing attention to the LED wall which serves as the focal point of the room.
