Entry Description

Today many museums of Ethnology seem to have fallen out of time, while the added up fear of individuals of supposed alienation and its reflection on everyday life has become a challenge for society as a whole, making a Renaissance more than necessary. Also finding an appropriate museal concept due to awareness of colonialism and the growing gap between cultural essentialism and hyper culture is neither easy nor obvious. This is why the project ended up becoming a „Schaulager“: An open archive, a space of organised coincidence, a chamber of marvels and a refuge for humans and things alike.
