As part of a proposed high speed railway in New Jersey, this project is the central transit hub along the NYC to Philadelphia line. Its design is drawn from "infrastructural objects." Existing infrastructural systems are not inherently detrimental to the urban fabric, but the way they are often applied (systematically and at the human scale) creates closed and divisive systems and spaces. Infrastructural objects were a way to test new overlaps and combinations to create open, parallel systems. The transit center is the embodiment of this idea, with 3 different rail systems overlapping inside.
