Entry Description

After interviewing community members, we noticed problems regarding senior citizens’ ability to evacuate during hurricanes. To help solve this problem, AXIS, a smart wristband, collects & synthesizes personal data to safely evacuate senior citizens during natural disasters. Users’ data is continuously sent to FEMA to allow them to prepare for natural disasters, without any work from the user. The AXIS CUI guides the user through the evacuation process. Through streamlined government services we can begin to reduce the inequalities in our communities.
