Entry Description

The project is located in Jiezi Ancient Town, Chongzhou, Sichuan and covers nearly 3,000 sqm and will boast 100,000 books. The planning combines multiple courtyards that are interspersed to forge a pattern of public construction clusters.
The Academy is developed with the “metal + curtain wall + water system” model that a big cantilevered roof is designed at the entrance with metal-textured Chinese constructional components and regional features of the “watchtower in the Han Dynasty”. The colonnades on both sides extend outwards to connect the spaces of each courtyard, blurring their borders.
