Besides a physical barrier separating pedestrians from vehicles, we attempt to refresh people's perception of such ordinary facility by giving it new meanings. The overall dynamic shape is inspired by traffic flows and forces, aiming to turn the passive boundary into an active interface.
The fast walkers are encouraged to slow down, take a quick recharge, interacting with the railing space by their means. The design is based on universal dimensions and site constraints so that it is flexible and widely applicable to any part of the city with positive contribution to the city landscape.
