Research indicates that homelessness is a revolving-door crisis in the US, suggesting that innovative design methods have the opportunity to alleviate this national crisis. In the past three years, New York City alone has seen a 64% increase in homelessness. This country has an obvious need for emergency housing and Homeless Shelters are only a temporary solution. This Capstone project synthesizes the need for supportive housing solutions in New York City and other urban areas as a modular prototype that may retro-fit to existing structures.
