We all experience nightmares at some point in our lives, some people more than others. Abstracted and sometimes nonsensical fears and anxieties play like a horror film as we sleep. My toy collection "Soft Nightmares," attempts to experience nightmares and traumas from a different perspective: complex fears and emotions personified as soft felt creatures that inhabit our subconscious dreamscape. This collection utilizes llustration, needle felting, beading, embroidery, and sewing, to reflect on my own experiences in mental health and trauma through the re-imagined lens of Soft Nightmares.
