Makina Andras_I

Watches in the 3-handed rectangular watch segment are almost always art deco inspired dress watches; and so Makina designs Andras_I to be the black sheep of the category: sportier, bolder and more contemporary. Coated in stealth black, its angular shapes and pronounced edges make up its unique multifaceted case design, finished with high gloss and brushed surfaces. Its dial, made of quality brass, is multi-layered and has a modern matte finish. Its strap is muscular and shapely, echoing its chiseled case and 3-dimensional dial. Andras_I was intently designed to look imposing from every angle.

Danilo Villanueva is an adman, product designer and entrepreneur. He has been in the creative advertising industry for over 15 years with international experience working in multinational agencies like TBWAChiatDay Los Angeles, Saatchi Los Angeles, Leo Burnett Dubai, BBDO Beijing and MRM/Mccann New York. He's built local and global integrated campaigns for major brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, Toyota, Emirates Airlines, Cartier, VISA, Enfamil, Tencent, etc.

He is also the Founder and Creative Director of Makina Watches, a watch company born in the Philippines.

He has won awards from Dubai Lynx, Webby, International Design Awards, London Design Awards, New York Product Design awards and Muse Awards and has been jury member for ADC Annual Awards, Adstars, London Design Awards, London International Competition Awards, Architecture Design Community Awards, and Muse Design Awards.
