Entry Description

Known for life-centric pedagogy, Canada’s Conestoga College is equipped with a newly revitalized building for its Health Sciences programs. The design transforms formerly enclosed classrooms into light-filled, state-of-the-art labs that put science on display through layered glazing, complete with views of the surrounding woodlot, reminding future scientists about the power of life. In addition to the labs, a collaborative student hub resulted from efficient planning. Although highly sterilized and controlled, bold graphics offer wayfinding, playfulness and a sense of identity.
