IDA 2024 NOW OPEN -- Final Deadline November 30, 2024
This project is aiming to address two major issues of current China rural community: preserve the collective lifestyle for a large elderly population and keep a minimal budget for improvement. The cluster house grouping creates various village cores to give possibilities for neighborhood bonding; individual courtyard serves as private space for veggie garden, storage and sun-cure habit; housing style refined from traditional Northern Jiangsu Architecture and simplified to meet the budget.
This practice is dedicated to improving the rural residents’ well-being and new rural community’s outlook.
