Entry Description

Annually we give our clients a clever year-end gift. This year we acknowledged a miserable 2020 with the ultimate in miserable gifts, socks.

The exterior “A miserable year deserves a miserable gift” tongue-in-cheek message sets the tone. Opening the box, a pair of eyes greet you, inspired by a Māori saying about our past informing our future. The first eye & random shapes, speak to a chaotic 2020. The other eye & bright colours, look ahead to a better year. The user manual, inspired by high-end luxury items, uses abstract copy & design to take banal garment care instruction to a new level.
