Celebrating the iconic New York artist, activist, and educator Faith Ringgold was the directive for the “Faith Ringgold: American People”—the New Museum exhibition graphic design and marketing campaign, deployed throughout New York City, from Chinatown to Harlem.
Our design solution—inspired by Ringgold’s color palette and her use of color-blocking and quilt-making in her artwork—transformed Ringgold’s artistic gestures into graphic language. Each graphic has a unique color-block combination, am artwork, and a composition that works diagonally visually, just like her quilt stitching.
