If space is distinct in its exclusivity, aesthetics, sense of ceremony, and sustainability, it is all the more able to spark discussion, and reflection, and even ignite passion and creativity. The rough wooden textures in the space are left in intentionally, including recycled solid wood flooring, coupled with second-hand antique light fixtures. Using matte layers and aging techniques, layers of skin and sinew are consciously created, like an embedded prayer that it will endure the generations to come; like antique walnuts, an ancient Chinese curio.
