The site is located in a valley meandering gently, falling down to the south. Here the one story-single family house is built with local cedar wood. The plan is donut-shape with a courtyard to protect privacy and prevent the wind blown down from the north. The inner circle of the roof is tilted to receive sunlight and the outer is tilted to open toward the valley view. Consequently the roof forms HP (hyperbolic paraboloid) shell. The inner ceiling with gradually inclining beams afford continuous changes in room scale. The use of the word Landing suggests two meanings, anchoring and place-making.
