A villa built in the subarctic zone of Japan. A rhombus form of building has been arranged as to be inserted in the field, realizing a space where we can enjoy the surrounding nature from the room through glass screen faced on the east and west. The roof is angled to allow snow to slide off, and is also used to control the scale of the spaces. The form of this house was indeed derived from the views and climate conditions. The form resembles a large wing (TSUBASA in Japanese) perched on the ground and gently encompasses the owner’s family.
