To create the many scenes that appear in the adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride & Prejudice”,set in the late 1950s in colonial Hong Kong. The directorial approach preferred the scenic design to convey the atmosphere of the period, thru extraction of elements that were recognizable by the audience. The story revolved around families from different social classes, the design needed to cater for this stark contrast. There were altogether six locations involved, from one jumping to another, our design allowed for quick scene changes that managed a smooth transition without a single blackout scene.
SLHO & ASSOCIATES LTD. is an award winning design firm based in Hong Kong with international exposure. The team here aims to provide design solutions that are appropriate, innovative yet cost effective and non-conforming to mediocrity.
We believe architecture, interior design and urban planning are part problem solving, part anticipating the psychological perception the future users will experience, part questioning, re-evaluating the generally accepted norm, and part pushing the envelope of what architecture is about, providing a solution that will evolve with time.
