Boy scouts can be a competitive environment, especially if a camper comes from a family of scouts. Mother’s Guide to Beating the Scouts was an interactive book with tips, tricks and goodies to help a camper come out on top. The pages were flooded with “how to” steps on tying someone’s shoe laces together, or how to sneak matches for starting a fire. Through the book the camper received badges such as weaponizing woodland creatures and scaring fellow campers. The book was a combination of photomontage and illustrations. The small booklet was housed in a vintage style, aluminum lunchbox.
