Entry Description

Plant Riverside District is a significant urban design and industrial rehabilitation project on the northwest corner of Savannah's National Historic Landmark District. The site’s original 1912 power plant has been restored with the preservation of historic characteristics and repurposed with the addition of hotel rooms and mixed-use space. The new district weaves museum experiences into entertainment, retail, dining, and hospitality; proving preservation as an engine for urban growth and economic development while renewing a national treasure.
