Nanushka’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection visits ancient Egypt’s symbolism and the refined version of the Wild Western Rodeo. With the juxtaposition of varied traditions the collection celebrates the diverse women. The color palette is characterized by raw hues of cotton and linen fused with tones of electric summer shades, such as rosebud, ice blue and burnt orange. The use of cream and neutral shades express Nanushka’s love of natural fabrics left in their pure appearance. Inspired by sacred symbols: little references are hidden throughout the collection like the Eye of the Horus embroidery.
With clothing designed in Budapest and produced in Europe, Nanushka shows her mainline collection at NYFW. In May, 2018 Nanushka has joined the Ellen Macarthur Foundation as their partner to develop sustainable methods and to support the circular economy. The brand operates a free standing flagship concept store in Budapest. Sandra Sandor’s collections are stocked in over 30 countries internationally through online stores, specialty shops and department stores; like Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Liberty, Browns, Net–a–Porter and My Theresa, as well shipping over 100 countries worldwide.
