Entry Description

This is an exhibition about banned content in China. I began by printing out thousands of words banned by the Chinese media on a long scroll paper. Divided by category(related to political, historical event…), and by the number of the characters. Then I made a video explained the story behind the key banned word, and project the video on the long printout.
Besides the long printout is a free speech platform with my script on it. I also made a book version of the video, and some stickers of a blacked out Winnie the Pooh.(a major banned word), representing censorship and the exhibition logo.
