Entry Description

I was getting married! As a graphic designer I wanted to set up a style to match our style , as well as the rough and ready venue. Using muted colours, interesting sketches/illustrations, simple room plans/maps and simple colloquial dialogue, all printed on packing paper, helped this feel something really special, but not posh or fancy.

Starting at the size of a business card, this keeps folding out doubling in size to reveal all the information in simple easy to digest chunks, what’s happening, when is it, where is it, how to get there, a faq section, and rsvp. This helps break the information up easily, while keeping everything together so no loose pieces of paper get lost.

It also meant I could, we use cheap packing paper from a roll, print it and finish it myself!

History of PHd.

At PHd design we have been coming up with creative designs for a whole range of industry sectors since 1992. Our experience means we know what works and what doesn’t. Everyone here at PHd works to a simple philosophy, when creating solutions for a project ‘keep it simple’. When presenting anything, the cleaner and simpler the message, the better it will be understood.

We work closely with our clients, making it our job to fully understand them and their needs, meaning our solutions are well designed from an aesthetics and practical point of view.
We’re really proud of our reputation for providing innovative solutions that help our clients achieve more. The vast majority of PHd’s work is from our regular customers who return time after time, in fact we we still work with our first ever client! We feel that this is a testament to the creative, thought through and well executed solutions provided by us at PHd design.
