Inspired on the predominant shapes of the 50’s, the era of aeronautical dreams when everything was possible; this design intends to inspire the user or observer to feel that anything is reachable. The design is a combination of a dare to be different along with a sophisticated look and style, with a little twist of the atom punk current. Shaped with high quality materials, like solid walnut or maple wood, with its back and seat molded in high density polyurethane, upholstered in natural leather, stitched with a distinctive thread, giving a unique touch. We used the mortise and tenon joints system, with reinforcement squads, all shaped with state of the art Italian Machinery.
Gerardo Ríos who resides in the Yucatán Peninsula has an artistic and technical brilliance in his work that reflects a unique elegance. His artistry and craftsmanship is a symbiotic reflection of what he believes in and often says “the daring romance and adventures that we find in people, history and our natural environment”. Ríos’ artistic spirit is inherited from a lineage of artists dating back to his great-great grandfather, the world-renowned painter José MarÍa Velasco.
