Design brief provided is to create a chic and swanky, "mama run" style cafe serving cakes & pastries that are freshly baked on site. A full height blackboard cum magnetic board displays the cafe's menu, with its variety of food and beverages. Imported Modern Danish light bulbs with vivid coloured wires hang playfully from the double height ceiling to fill up double volumn void. Overall counter and back counter were designed to enable display layers for a busy and playful visual.Original concrete balustrade at mezzanine floor was carved out to improve visibility and to invite customers to mezzanine seatings. The cafe's primary colours of black and white provide the best backdrop for the interesting window displays. Props were selected and displayed to create a cozy ambience to complete the intended concept. Spaces are designed for the customers to add to the visual of the cafe by adding their writing and pin ups.

K Teo says that while he is passionate about contemporary modern design, function is as important as form, and that creating an environment that is functional for business or comfortable for living is more important for the client. His style is clean, simple and pared-down, with innovative use of materials and combination of naturally available green resources and architecture.
