‘Rüya’ (‘dream’ in Turkish) is a new F+B concept that explores the rich history of Anatolian food. Located in the Grosvenor House Hotel, Dubai Marina, the venue is 800m² with dining areas including a bar, lounge, private-dining and terrace. Conran and Partner’s contemporary new concept showcases the heritage of this misperceived cuisine. Materials, patterns, textures and colours have been inspired by elements of Turkish history and the meeting of Eastern and Western culture. The design interpretation reflects the value which Anatolian culture places on a direct relationship between host and guest. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a hexagonal, freestanding oven rendered in blue-grey shades so that guests can engage with the cooking processes. The restaurant features colourful 3-D tiles, designed by Conran and Partners, made by traditional Turkish craftsmen. Conran and Partners designed the bespoke domed lighting; inspired by ancient Anatolian architecture celebrating the history of the region.
