On August 16, 1976, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his speech "Where Do We Go From Here?". During his speech, King said, "I have... decided to stick with love,... hate is too great a burden to bear." Upon researching King's speech, I found that a key theme revolved around the concepts of love and power, and how they are often misunderstood. My communication goals and concept for both posters rested on this idea of love and power. Aesthetically, the posters reflect familiar visuals from the Civil Rights era, such as simplistic posters with bold type and black and white imagery.
