Chilmark House Interiors

In approaching the Chilmark House interiors, we sought to complement the building materials in ways that provoked richness through contrast with a palette that drew upon the changing seasonal landscapes. Materials were selected for longevity and their connection to the natural textures of the Vineyard. To achieve unity we designed a suite of freestanding bedroom furniture pieces. The lighting design and associated fabrics also reflect the seasonal theme. A water-holding dining room pendant, for example, can be decorated with whatever colourful plants and flowers can be found in local fields.
