This is an expressive typographic book inspired by August Rush, which is one of the most favorite movies in my life. It explores the emotional and musical journey of a young boy, Evan, a musically gifted orphan who runs away from his orphanage and searches New York City for his birth parents. Different typefaces are used for each main character, and a light blue color highlights the boy’s dialogues and his characteristics in the movie. As music is an important part of the movie, I tried to visualize rhythm, tone, melody, and harmony with experimental typography.
