Entry Description

Pop-up CD case for the Prohibition Documentary by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick, which includes a set of 3 CDs.

About the design & concept: Grunge meets comics, with the incorporation of X’s as design elements (to play off of the idea of bottles of alcohol in cartoons being marked with 'XXX' to specify the strength of liquor) Also, the X’s embody the division (no pun intended) of the nation in the documentary: WETS X DRYS X HYPOCRITES.

PS: The mechanism of the pop-up case as well as the dieline were fully designed, developed and built by me.
