This is a project to relocate a design office. To make the best use of the raw wood and allow visitors to feel the beautiful texture of the local wood, wood components were exposed as much as possible. Ezo pine, one of the representative trees of Hokkaido, was used. The wooden HP shell roof, which captures and reflect the natural scenery of light from morning to afternoon onto the space surrounded by the "forest" of columns, opens up new possibilities for the conventional post and beam structure. We aimed to create a simple and beautiful wooden structure using custom-made hardware.
