YOHO Midtown Clubhouse
1.Location:
Hong Kong
2. Design Concept:
Inspired by the idea of URBAN + PARK, the whole residential clubhouse is a mixture of elements of cityscape and park landscape origins. The mindset is generally expressed by the clubhouse’s colour scheme of grey and green, which is obviously urban and nature.
The extra long portal structures covers both the entrance lobby and the 24 hours lounge, which have angular form and concrete-like colour, yet they produce a pattern of organic movement.
Everywhere is the realm of “URBAN PARK” here. Swimmers can find themselves above the cloudy sky in the pool; while the contour map on the band room’s carpet floor assembles mountainous landscape for performers. There are even more places being themed with this contradict magic.
On the ceiling of the multifunction room, a massive set of city skyline, consists of column structures with various length, is hanging upside down, reaching the visitors underneath while disguising as chandeliers as well as ceiling decoration.
As counterparts of the urban sight above, other areas of the clubhouse is applied with nature theme. Changing rooms are compounds of several booths with smooth organic appearance, in addition of the “mosaic rain” inside. The two party rooms have dressed with each of their natural topic. The one that represents wood is no doubt full of wooden finish, patterns and features that visualising year rings of trees are also applied all over the room. Green vegetation is the decorative genre of another room, the pixel-like pattern assembled with vinyl and fabrics, with different levels of green, is the reminiscence of a digitally processed scene of the green outdoor. These are the inspiring answers to the main theme of the clubhouse.
