Entry Description

Baby Ink Twice is an exhibition of letterpress posters by Swiss graphic designer, Dafi Kühne. The approach to the design of the identity and space was to frame and reflect the dynamic aesthetics of Kühne’s work without romanticizing the letterpress process. Borrowed from Kühne’s studio in Nafels, Switzerland, the title is mirrored as a representation of the typesetting process. The posters are mounted onto plywood boards which reflect Kühne’s process working with wood, and the angled stands are a subtle reference to early printing presses while also serving as devices for navigating the space.
