Entry Description

With the design of this mid-rise, mixed-use complex in downtown Atlanta, comes a reframing of what a sustainable city looks like when addressing social, economic, and environmental barriers in an urban habitat. Timber serves as the bridge between these urban barriers in the lightweight characteristic of the material (allowing spatial flexibility in a renewable way), and as a direct tie back to our natural environment. This flexible complex serves as a new consideration of what it means to live sustainably, and more connected to one another without social class separations in an urban context.
