The brief of this project is to design a fashion school for NYU. The concept aims to create an environment that prepares students to step into the professional world of fashion. To achieve this, I embodied the qualities of a couture fashion house, laying a strong emphasis on using materials such as marble, wood and metal. This introduction of couture elements is juxtaposed with the architectural quality of the existing loft site by retaining the industrial look of the building through exposed ceilings and raw concrete. The design intends to connect the luxury of 5th avenue to the soul of NoHo.
