Entry Description

Working with the bones of an abandoned warehouse, we designed a studio that would celebrate the previous uses of the building, create an adaptable and kinetic environment for our client to both work and play.
Designed with minimal walls, custom furniture, sculpture, art, lights, and carpet became an important means to define the adjustable space. Installing casters on custom plywood workstations, movable shelving “walls,” and the reception “nest,” the space easily adapts from design studio to lecture, concert and art venue with little disturbance or inconvenience.

Bio

As a multidisciplinary design studio, bDot uses the tools of architecture and the creative process to tell the unique and distinguished stories of our clients through projects of any size or purpose.

Understanding the importance of this process, we intentionally develop an open discussion with our clients, manufacturers, engineers and contractors that enable us to have a clear understanding of the appropriate approach towards innovative design solutions.
