Entry Description

Areal Wakka is a collaborative hub developed by KAKOGAWA SHOTEN, a recycling business, aiming to promote sustainability through community engagement. Utilizing local business waste, it hosts workshops and develops up cycled products, serving as a bridge between local farmers, consumers, artists, and supporters. Inspired by the infinity symbol, its design blurs indoor and outdoor boundaries, enhancing spatial openness, while its facade features an up cycling-inspired spiral structure.We hope it becomes a place where culture is passed down across generations, connecting to the next.
