Auto Dashing seeks and studies the impact of automotive dashboards on the driving experience. Despite the critical role of dashboards, there is a distinct lack of conversation about how dashboard design impacts driving behavior and safety. From analog to digital, the dashboard design has changed visually and in terms of flexibility, legibility, and accessibility. This thesis aims to experimentally analyze dashboard typography and the visual evolution of dashboard design, highlighting, for designers, the importance and aesthetics of typography in car dashboards.
