Functional finery of home textiles designed in Michigan, explores symmetry in contemporary context ,elements like visual movement of shapes. Weaving & printing techniques that are culturally rooted & centered towards enabling sustainability in livelihood of artisan clusters based in India, Nepal, Peru uses diverse natural breathable materials.
Based out of Bloomfield Hills in Michigan, Studio Variously was started to pursue responsible design with intentional craftsmanship. UN's Sustainable Design Goals are pursued by responsibly sourcing premium pure natural yarns, eco-friendly dyes & ancient artisanal techniques of weaving & dyeing.We design our editions in lifestyle products for home textile products and lifestyle accessories like scarves.The artisans we work with in different parts of India and Nepal are experts in their field , 3rd/4th generation master weavers, dyers whose skills and heritage stories need to be sustained.
