A 40,000 square foot natatorium and public pavilion conceptualized around a plant cell. The building's structure is composed entirely of timber, while it's roof is clad in microalgae panels that sequester CO2 and can be emptied to produce biofuel. An emphasis was placed on the structure's interaction with the site, as the principal glulam members span from earth berms along the front of the building to the lake at the back.
