Entry Description

Venue Building Silt Middelkerke addresses coastal reinforcement, liveability, and sustainability. It houses a casino, a restaurant, and a multifunctional events space, with an improved public space that has been doubled in surface area, thanks to an underground parking garage. Rather than being a detached, inward-focused building, the striking structure is integrated into a landscape that maintains a sustainable relationship with its environment in every respect. Sustainability is just as central to the design as safety, functionality, and aesthetic and economic value.
