With the intention of providing affordable and natural products to their customers, the main objective of the design of all Botanicascent products is cost effective yet unique and eye-catching, including the design of this brochure. Therefore, dual or triple functions or usage is the main focus of all design. The Botanicascent Times is a promotional brochure that designed deliberately without page number. Therefore individual pages can be displayed as A1 or A2 posters, and the centerspread can be removed and folded into a product flyer. The Botanicascent Times uses monochromatic photographs to elicit feelings of peace, tranquility and relaxation, which aligned with the branding of Botanicascent. The natural photographs of the brochure symbolise the company desire to create an environment that is natural, healthier and safer for everybody to live in. As well as to express the robust relationship between the products and the natural domain. In additional, using the style and full size of newspaper, the Botanicascent Times seeks to communicate that the information and quality of the products featured are truly natural and reliable.
Jesvin Yeo, who trained at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London, is a multidisciplinary designer who explores natures and consequences of historical and contemporary cultural changes, in particular areas related to Asian Material Culture and Heritage Studies. Jesvin founded Designing Cultures Studio which produced award-winning works that have been featured in international design publications including Wallpaper*, HOW Magazine, Communication Arts, PRINT and Applied Arts, as well as exhibited at galleries and museums in Berlin, London, Washington D.C, Tokyo and Beijing.
