The design has evolved from the unusual and striking pair of spotty diamond slices I purchased in Hong Kong earlier this year. I wanted to capture their old-worldly charm and was reminded of some beautiful over-exposed photos I had taken one snowy night in the Old Town of Salzburg during a family holiday at Christmas time in 2010. The two necklaces have been created in 18ct yellow and rose gold. The pendant and chain designs were customed using CAD by Kian Dastyar where the pendants each consist of two parts that have been carefully laser welded together to encase the delicate slices. Combinations of high polish and satin matte finishes have been applied to the pendants and chains.
