Encased is a collection of body-shaped leather suitcases. Through these works I try to capture the human body as a sculpture, and to maximize the body's energy and sensuality by encasing it.
As travel accessories, these suitcases are instant eye-catchers and conversation-starters. Only down side is that people might wonder if you're actually carrying a body at the airport.
Incorporating traditional leathercraft as well as new fabrication technology such as body scanning and cnc machining, these suitcases are a celebration of modern craftsmanship.
